Lauren King, Owner

Director of Strength and Nutrition

Founder and owner of Kings of Fitness, Lauren has dedicated the last 9 years to educating and inspiring athletes to their fullest potential.  In 2014 she earned her Master's Degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania with a focus in Sports Psychology.  

Lauren is a Certified NASE Speed Coach, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach (USAW-L1), Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (HHC), ACE Massage Cupping Bodywork Therapy Certified and Layne Norton Science Nutrition certified.   

 

Kiel King

Director of SPort Science

Kiel is a 2004 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and retired as a Captain in 2010.  In 2013 he earned his Master's Degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Physical Rehabilitation.  He served as an assistant Strength & Condition Coach at Marist College in 2014 working with Division I athletes in sports such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, and crew.

Kiel is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS), USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach (USAW-L1), Landmine University Level 1 Coach, Westside Barbell Personal Training and Athletic Coach, Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), certified in Advanced Exercise Nutrition (AEN), IASTM Practitioner Certified, and ACE Massage Cupping Bodywork Therapy Certified

 
 

Joe panik

Director of Athlete performance

Joe is an 8 year MLB second baseman that has played in the league for the San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays, and Miami Marlins. He currently serves as a Special Assistant to the Director of Player Development for the San Francisco Giants organization as well as his duties and responsibilities at KOFSP.

A World Series Champion in 2014, MLB All Star in 2015, and an MLB Gold Glove Award winner in 2016. Joe brings a tremendous amount of knowledge, skills, and experience to share with all athletes to maximize their athletic potential in competition.

 

SEAN MURPHY

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Sean is a 2023 graduate of Ithaca College where he earned his Master’s Degree in Health Science and Human Performance. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland 2017.

Before returning to the Kings of Fitness Sports Performance Staff, Sean served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with Cornell University where he worked with Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Basketball, Field Hockey, Gymnastics, and Sprint Football.

Sean is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW Sport Performance Coach (USAW-L1), and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).

 
 

Brian Doxsey

Brian is a graduate of Marist College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Brian also played 3 years of Marist Football at Outside Linebacker.

Along with his responsibilities at KOFSP, Brian is working as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at the United States Military Academy at West Point, working with a variety of Division 1 sport teams.

Brian is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA CSCS), a Certified Physical Preparation Specialist (CPPS) through DeFranco’s Training and Consulting, and ACE Massage Cupping Bodywork Therapy Certified.

 
 

JOHN IMUNDO

SPORT PERFORMANCE COACH

John is a Exercise Science major at Dutchess Community College, Class of 2024. John is a graduate of Ketcham High School, class of 2019 where he played football.

John is certified as a Personal Trainer through the National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF), CPR and advanced first aid certified.

 
 

MICHAEL SCHIAVONE

SPORT PERFORMANCE COACH

Michael is a Sports Communications major at Marist College. A graduate of Ketcham High School, class of 2023.

One of the first athletes at KOFSP, Mike has worked within the organization since the doors opened in 2012! Playing baseball at Ketcham, Mike was an outfielder for the Class AA state championship team.

 
 

RYAN COHOWICZ

SPORT PERFORMANCE COACH

Ryan graduated The Catholic University of America in 2022 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. As a member of the football team, Ryan played offensive guard as well as defensive end during his time at the university.

Ryan was a standout football player during his high school years as well, where he attended Archbishop Stepinac High School, being named a team captain, winning the 2017 state championship, as well as being named an all-state offensive guard.

With an extreme passion for human performance and science, Ryan is currently working to certify as a NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

 
 

OWEN PAINO

SPORT PERFORMANCE COACH

Owen is a Senior at Roy C. Ketcham High School, class of 2024. Owen is yet another athlete that began his performance training with KOFSP when door opened back in 2012!

Owen is committed to play baseball at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) upon graduation. Playing SS and Pitcher, Owen was apart of the 2023 Class AA state championship team.

 
 

TONY STARK

SUPPORT STAFF

Tony is a long hair chihuahua that spends most of his day at the facility. He is extremely friendly and loves to be pet as athletes are warming up.
